Junior Orchestra BIMP 2020
The Junior Orchestra is for students with beginner/intermediate knowledge of playing their instrument; usually 8-10 years old - grade 3-5, although older students who are beginners/ at an intermediate level may also join this group.
This orchestra is for music students who study a string-, woodwind- or brass instruments or play percussion. The group will also be open to a limited number of piano/keyboard players. Playing percussion does not only mean playing the drums, so everyone has to be prepared and open to play other percussion instruments as well.
We will work together to create a beginner/intermediate orchestra. In order for us to have an enjoyable experience, the instrumentalists must be confident in reading music (simple melodies that include quarter notes, eighth notes and their respective rests).
String players should be able to play in first position with ease and woodwind and brass players should be able to play at least over an octave. If any of the parts need altering or you play an orchestral instrument which does not have a part for it at the moment, then you can contact one of the orchestra leaders or the BIMP co-coordinator.
We are very excited to build a fun and challenging program with you!

BIMP weekend February 1 - 2, Saturday 10.00 - 16.00, Sunday 12.00 - 15.00 followed by the Gala Concert.
Please make sure you can attend the scheduled rehearsals. It will only be accepted to miss one of the joint rehearsals. You can find the complete BIMP 2020 rehearsal schedule here.
